Katty Poels (Vilvoorde, 1979) obtained her master's degree in Criminology from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2002. In 2005, she also completed her master's degree in law.
Her career as a lawyer began at the Mechelen Bar, where she was actively involved in the Board of the Conference of the Young Bar in Mechelen for five years. In 2010, she completed the Special Training in Juvenile Law and has been affiliated with the Brussels Bar since 2012.
In 2016, she obtained her diploma as a recognized mediator in family matters. Since 2018, she has focused on trajectory guidance at the Family Court of the Dutch-speaking court of first instance.
