In a July 11, 2025, article in Tika, Transcom's digital magazine, Joachim Vanspeybrouck and Sibren Debouck discuss the proceedings before the Constitutional Court against the mandatory screening of port personnel.

The mandatory security screening for port personnel is currently before the Constitutional Court. The measure, which will be gradually rolled out starting in 2025, is intended to prevent criminal infiltration through the ports. Employees will be required to provide, among other things, a comprehensive extract from their criminal record.
