The Young Dynamism in Wanted Law Sint-Niklaas: Bret Sanders
During the winter months, law students are given the unique opportunity to gain practical experience at law firms. For example, Bret Sanders spent a week at Wanted Law in Sint-Niklaas this winter. During his internship, he was able to deepen his legal knowledge and gain a good picture of the daily operations within the legal profession. This valuable experience contributed to his professional development and offered him insight into the multifaceted practice of the profession.
This is Bret Sanders. He is studying law at Ghent University. His preferred areas of expertise are criminal law and family and personal law.

During the week without classes in February, I had the opportunity to do a winter internship at WANTED LAW in Sint-Niklaas. This internship was a unique opportunity to experience the practice of a law firm up close and offered me a valuable insight into the daily life of a lawyer.
The internship started right from the first day. I was allowed to attend hearings, which gave an in-depth and practical start to my experience. During the rest of the week, I had the opportunity to visit a wide range of courts, not only in East Flanders, but also in Antwerp. These varied excursions gave me a clear picture of how versatile the work of a lawyer can be. I also attended a consultation at the office so that I could experience the dynamics with a client and I handled various files.
I immediately felt welcome at WANTED LAW. The team consists of warm and enthusiastic people who were willing to share their expertise and experiences with me. Thanks to their guidance, I felt supported and inspired, which significantly increased my learning curve. The diversity of cases I was able to work on not only broadened my knowledge, but also helped me gain a better insight into the legal world in practice.
This winter internship confirmed my passion for law and motivated me to further deepen my academic knowledge. The fascinating (and often hectic) life of a lawyer that I was able to experience has enriched my future prospects and motivated me even more to pursue my goal.
My winter internship at WANTED LAW was an unforgettable and educational experience that brought me one step closer to my professional ambitions.
