What can you do if your insurer cancels your policy?
Insurers are increasingly unilaterally canceling policies, often without clear motivation. This not only leaves customers without coverage, but also makes it difficult to take out new insurance elsewhere.
According to Jana Vangeluwe, attorney at Wanted Law, insurers have a lot of freedom to terminate contracts, as long as they respect the legal formalities.
